10 things I loved about Japan :)
(In no particular order)
1) the metro system!
- so easy to understand it basically one big loop around Tokyo. My main line: Yamanote line! ;)
2) the noodles
- although raw fish is Tokyo's specialty it is not my favorite, however the ramen was excellent and not to mention a little bit cheaper than sushi.
3) the people :)
- whether I was trying to find my way to a hostel or the statue of Hachiko(which I wLked by without noticing)in both occasions compete strangers personally escorted me and made sure I was in the right place.
4) free clear to understand city maps everywhere!
-enough said :)
5) the vending machines
- from whole course meals to delicious desserts the vending machines were like mini grocery stores ready to serve you whatever your little heart desired in seconds!
6)the packaging that everything came in
- especially the fruit, it all either had a smiley face on it or cute animate instructions on what to do wig the product :) it was as if the stuff you bought was happy to be bought by YOU!
7) everything and I mean everything is smaller
- being 5 feet tall can be a little tough in America, there are cabinets that can't be reached and buildings that are too tall, but the wonderful thing about Japan is that everything is shorter, smaller, and more compact! it's as if the town had been customized to my size :) what more could a girl want?!
8) Tokyo's city infrastructure
- you can basically be walking next to a modern skyscraper and turn the corner and see a lovely shrine complete with moss and incense sticks :)
9) the parks
speaking of the city's unique infrastructure it is insane how you can find peace among the chaos of the city in on of Tokyo's many parks :) so peaceful and calm you wouldn't even know you were surrounded by skyscrapers :)
10) the fashion!!!! :)
there is only one rile in Tokyo fashion:
fashion has no rules!!
